Travel stress-free: 10 life saving stuff on Amazon
Hey guys!
Depending on which travel type you are- either your backpack has broken a zipper, your suitcase lost a wheel or your clothes are spilling out of your bag, we’ve all been there.
It can be irritating to be on the go and have something break or tear and possibly have no one who can fix it/understand what you’re trying to fix.😅
Whilst traveling, your mind should be focused on having the best time you can! And I can share that when I began to travel, I definitely had too much I didn’t need and in my mind, I was organized but… not really.
So, as my bag has become my home, here are 10 “essentials” that have become my favorites as I move with my backpack/suitcase of a home. Trust me, they’ll save you time and hassle :)
Packing cubes!
I resisted initially, I’ll be honest. However, since traveling with them life got so much easier! It’s easy to organize, and easy to squeeze more clothes in there while using small space. Plus, if you’re a long-term traveler, you can separate between hot and cold weather clothes without having to sort them every time you open your bag.
I recommend these because the zipper is sturdy, the fabric is easily foldable and the bags that come in it are all quite handy.

Bamboo utensils/ Stainless steel straw
Another thing to keep in mind while traveling is that our footprints matter- not just the 10,000 steps on your fitness app, but also the ones we leave behind while we move around the world. Reducing our waste and speaking by example can inspire your friends to do the same. Avoid one-time utensils and have reusable ones at hand. It’s also super useful when you’re hiking or in an accommodation without access to utensils. Even on the train or long bus rides. These are great to have ✨
I got mine in a local shop in Peru- it’s important to also pump back into the local community and buy hand-made/ support artisans. But here’s an online option as well:Portable charger
This can and will always save you in tough spots. In case you forget to bring an electricity adapter, this will come in handy. It’s nice to have a charger that supports different gadgets and has the right voltage to support them.
Reusable water bottle
I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to stop using plastic bottles. I’m sure you’ve kicked one now and then while walking in a street somewhere. That’s right- they end in landfills or in the pavement and a very small percentage gets recycled. Let’s be mindful and get our own water bottle!
I’m a fan of Hidroflask because it’s sturdy, it’s aesthetic, it’s tough and keeps up with my constant moving and packing lifestyle. It’s also great to have if you’re in extremely cold or hot weather as your beverage will keep the desired temperatureCable organizer
With the constant movement, cables wear out faster on the road and sometimes finding the right replacement can take a while. So, do yourself a favor and get an organizer and just stash everything in there. It’ll keep you organized and also keep other things safe, I travel with my journal and physical books, so this also aids in keeping them safe.Toilette bags and reusable containers
A small bathroom on the go, a toilette bag is indispensable. Personally, a hanger within the bag isn’t necessary, but if you’re staying in hostels, this might come in handy.Sleeping pillow and face mask
Yes, the adventure will get sleepless. Flights, buses or trains, natural light coming in through the window- in the best cases, you’ll open your eyes to sunrises in the sky, next to the clouds (dreamyyyy) and to be sure you get your rest, a sleeping pillow and face mask will come in handy.
I travel with an inflatable pillow that takes no space, from Miniso, but here’s the Amazon alternativeFoldable bags
To do laundry, to go grocery shopping, to dump your stuff that can’t fit in the suitcase if you’re in a rush, a foldable bag will help all of that. Plus, you avoid buying plastic bags :D helping the environment.Laptop cover and protector
Remember the adventure I mentioned before? Yes- movement is constant, buses rattle, and trains abruptly stop, so protecting your computer especially if it’s your means of income, becomes a priority.
Here’s my option, it has a flap that stands and aids in lifting my laptop so that I don’t strain my eyes looking down. Honestly, it’s genius and perfect. Eye saverWireless headphones
Link to the note on light, noise cancelation headphones are perfect. For podcasts, for music, for meditating, having headphones will always be a good idea. Plus, if you want “me” time, these will help avoid unwanted conversations 🤭
*Bonus: a portable clothesline- quite great to have! you never know if these seemingly basic thing will be available where you are. And who wants smelly clothes 🥴
